We are so thrilled to be your chairs for the 2011 Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Opus Ball. This elegant event on October 29, 2011 will be one of Arkansas’ most dynamic evenings. The Arkansas Symphony is a vital part of our community, and we are excited to be involved with this incredible organization.
We would like to invite you to join us for Opus XXVII at the beautiful Capital Hotel to celebrate the wonderful work of the ASO and raise money for music education and outreach across our state.
Did you know that your Arkansas Symphony Orchestra plays at Children’s Hospital each month? We have witnessed the smiles of children as hope and joy touches their heart through the music of our musicians.
Did you know that your Arkansas Symphony Orchestra has magnificent award-winning Education Outreach programs? We have visited elementary schools to experience children learning about the science of music. We have also witnessed children discover the instruments in an orchestra. Your Arkansas Symphony Orchestra is a fabulous ambassador for music education and outreach!
The money raised from this year’s Opus Ball will ensure these heartfelt experiences continue. We need your support now more than ever. Please help us continue to change lives by sharing the beauty and wonder of music throughout our amazing state.

Guests will once again enjoy the traditional elements that have made Opus such a presence in the community while at an intimate and exclusive setting provided by the Capital Hotel.
- Cocktails, boutique silent auction and exciting live auction.
- Six uniquely themed dining areas with a gourmet dinner prepared by the Capital Hotel’s Executive Chef, Lee Richardson.
- Dance the evening away with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Big Band.
Proceeds benefit the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra education and outreach programs
The ASO is the state’s premier professional orchestra and serves the entire state of Arkansas through accessible and affordable symphonic music performances. The education programs supported through Opus Ball proceeds include the four youth orchestras, the Orchestra and You outreach program, the Arts Partners program and Children’s Concerts. Last year’s Opus Ball revenue was more than $475,000!
