As Opus XXIX Chairs, we would like to thank you for your previous support of Opus Ball. Last year’s ball was a great success,
raising $450,000 in support of Arkansas Symphony Orchestra's music education programs across the state. Opus XXVIII Co-Chairs,
Shayla and Scott Copas did an exceptional job hosting the most sophisticated gala in Arkansas.
We are truly honored to be chairing Opus XXIX and would like to personally invite you to join us, as Patrons, at two very special evenings.
We are so very excited to announce that this year's Patrons' Party
will be hosted by Linda and George Gleason at their beautiful new home,
Chateau Saint-Cloud, on Thursday, October 24, 2013. This exclusive dinner will be the inaugural social event at their home; it promises to
be a delightful evening. We have included more details about the experience the Odyssey in the Gardens of Chateau Saint-Cloud has to offer.
The Opus Ball will again be held at the beautiful Capital Hotel on Saturday, November 16, 2013. You will have the opportunity to mingle with
other patrons, sponsors, and guests during the cocktail reception while enjoying our special signature drink with a selection of hors d’oeuvres
only the Capital Hotel can create. Wander through the hotel lobbies, peruse and bid on the fabulous items in our boutique silent auction,
and bid on exciting packages in the premier live auction presented by our emcee, Craig O'Neill and auctioneer, Gaylen McGee. For dinner,
make your way to one of the six dining areas to enjoy a sumptuous menu, especially designed for this event.
This magical evening provides you with the perfect opportunity to hear beautiful live music with musicians from the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra,
including musicians from the Arkansas Symphony Youth Orchestra, and a special message from ASO Music Director Philip Mann and his lovely wife,
Tatiana. Following dinner, you can dance the night away with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Big Band, sip a drink in the Capital Bar & Grill,
or share and relax with friends in the hotel lobby. A late night snack will be served before you retire to your charming guest room, and on
Sunday morning, complete the Opus experience with a southern-inspired breakfast in Ashley’s Restaurant – this is the perfect opportunity to
recall the evening’s highlights and celebrate the Opus weekend.
To ensure your place at these elegant evenings, we invite you join us as Patrons. Your Patron Ticket includes a ticket for two guests to the
Patrons' Party and Opus Ball for $1,500. Tables are available for $6,000 and include Opus Ball seating for ten guests and a ticket for two guests
to the Patrons' Party. As Patrons, you will receive special recognition in the Opus Ball program book, invitations, and a
discount on your hotel room.
Due to limited seating and to take full advantage of Patron benefits, please reserve your Opus Patron Ticket or Patron Table by
August 31, 2013. For any questions that you may have, please contact Kelly Parker, Special Events Coordinator, at (501) 666-1761, ext. 114.
As a friend of the Symphony, we invite you to join us in supporting and celebrating forty-eight years of great symphonic music. We look forward
to seeing you on October 24th at the Patrons' Party and again on November 16th at Opus XXIX. Special memories await you!
Yours very truly,
