As Opus XXVIII Chairs, we would like to invite you to support us and the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra as
Patrons at this year’s Opus Ball. Last year’s event was a great success at the Capital Hotel, raising $450,000
in support of our music education programs across the state. Opus XXVII Co-Chairs, Errin and David Dean did an
exceptional job hosting the most sophisticated gala in Arkansas.
We are truly honored to be chairing Opus XXVIII and would like to personally invite you to join us at the beautiful
Capital Hotel on Saturday, November 17, 2012. This year we wish to treat you to a very special evening. If you
decide to become a patron, and choose to stay at the hotel, you will be invited to an exclusive VIP Party to be
held in Ashley’s Restaurant, prior to the commencement of Opus Ball. You will have the opportunity to mingle with
other patrons and sponsors while enjoying our special signature drink and hors d’oeuvres. Wander from this
pre-party into the hotel lobby for the Opus Cocktail Reception. Peruse and bid on the fabulous items in our
boutique silent auction, and maybe win an exciting package in the premier live auction presented by our emcee,
Craig O’Neill and auctioneer, Gaylen McGee. Make your way to one of the six dining areas to enjoy a sumptuous
menu, especially designed for this event. Musicians from the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, including young
musicians from the Arkansas Symphony Youth Orchestra, will entertain you with beautiful music as you dine.
Following dinner, you can dance the night away with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Big Band. Sip a drink in the
Capital Bar or share and relax with friends in the hotel lobby. A late night snack will be served before you retire
to your charming guest room. On Sunday morning, complete the Opus experience with a southern-inspired breakfast in
Ashley’s Restaurant. This is the perfect opportunity to recall the evening’s highlights and celebrate the Opus weekend.
Sincerely,
